The goal of this workshop is to move away from the challenges of today's language classes--hard to teach and hard to follow, into an enriching and exciting language experience.

||* Empower them and motivate them to enter the new world the language represents with a sense of curiosity, interest- TO INCREASED LEVELS OF COMFORT AND ENTHUSIASM
* Move away from boring power point presentation and repetition of vocabulary.
||* Use more creative ways to introduce vocabulary in natural and real-life situations.
* Eliminate the complex grammatical explanations, which are hard for the students to comprehend, retain, and apply.
||* Simplify grammar and make it meaningful in communication.
* Reduce unconnected small activities/games that end up being repetitive and diminish students' motivation.
||* Meaningful integration of all resources available to revive learners' interest and enhance motivation.
* Eliminate lengthy fastidious teacher's lecturing to students who quickly disconnect
||* Promote more active students' participation at all stages of the teaching-learning process.
The workshop will be conducted in two days, from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm.
Day 1 - Overview of the process, connecting insights on language acquisition, standards for foreign language learning, your curriculum and textbook content, with methods and classroom activities, and weaving them into an integrated instruction.
Day 2 - Focus on implementing principles and strategies presented on Day 1, with specific model presentations in French and Spanish.TIMES
